Serhii Tihipko, vice prime minister, minister of social policy, assumes his participation in the elections to Verkhovna Rasa on the Party of Regions list.

At the same time the vice prime minister he did not have a burning desire to work in the Parliament.
"I used to be a people's deputy: it's boring. The executive power is much harder. Here you feel like being on a frying pan. It is much more interesting," he emphasized.
If the Party of Regions and Strong Ukraine unite, he will do his utmost for the Party of Regions to gain the appropriate level of confidence at the elections, Tihipko added.
Tihipko stressed his deeds would not depend on a number on the united list.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the leader of the Strong Ukraine party, Deputy Prime Minister/Social Policy Minister Serhii Tihipko, supposed in late December his party could contest at the upcoming parliamentary elections independently.
Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, who is the leader of the Party of the Regions, and Tihipko on August 16 declared an initiative to unite the Strong Ukraine party and the Party of the Regions.
Then Oleksandra Kuzhel, deputy chairman of the Strong Ukraine party, submitted a resignation letter explaining it by her unwillingness to join the Party of Regions.
