Internal Affairs Ministry: Violations During Voting Not To Influence Presidential Elections Results (15:20, Monday, February 8, 2010)

The Internal Affairs Ministry has said that the violations registered during the voting would not influence the results of the presidential elections, Deputy Internal Affairs Minister Oleksandr Savchenko told at a press conference.

He said that the violations would not disrupt the elections.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Ukrainian Voters Committee sees no ground for the invalidation of results of the presidential elections at considerable number of polling stations.

The Ukrainian Voters Committee does not rule out that the calculation of votes at polling stations may be protracted.

The second round of presidential elections ended at 8:00 pm, February 7.

According to the results of various exit polls, Yanukovych won 48.50-50.26% of the votes in the second round of the presidential elections and Tymoshenko won 44.20-45.70% (the margin between Yanukovych and Tymoshenko is 2.8-6.06%).
