V.I. Lenin Dnieper hydroelectric power station (Zaporizhia region)

The construction of V.I. Lenin Dnieper hydroelectric power station started in 1927.

The first unit was launched in May 1932 and inaugurated in October 10, 1932.

The hydraulic power system includes: right-bank hydroelectric power stations' facilities with 236 meters in length and 70 meters in width, a turbine room with nine 72-megawatt vertical hydroelectric units, a 216-meter panel, a 760-meter drain curved dam, the greatest construction height of 60 meters, and a 251-meter fixed dam.

The left-bank navigation facilities accommodate head waters outport, three-chambered lock, and the lower approach canal.

The Dnieper hydroelectric power station has automated, telecontrol, telemeasuring and telesignal equipment.
