On May 24, thousands of cyclists gathered in Kyiv to mark the annual event "Bicycle Day."

A huge column of cyclists stretched in opposite directions from Independence Square to Lva Tolstoho Square.

The annual gatherings of cyclists is a way get the city authorities settle the problems in Kyiv with paths for cyclists, parking places for bicycles, and to win respect from car drivers on the road of Ukraine.

This is the third annual gathering of cyclists. At least 10 Ukrainian cities will join the event this year.
